Downlaod: POS-Tracker 3.0.0 Beta 2 Features: * POS Fuel Tracking with Uptime Calculations * Outpost Fuel Tracking with Uptime Calculations (currently inactive) * AutoSov¬ Sovereignty tracking with automatic fuel usage updates (CRON) * Absolute Location System * Moon Mining and Reaction Tracking as well as Silo Tracking -Improved * Fully templated - Theme based. * Modular - You can extend the Manager by creating a module without touching the main code. * Fuel Bill page * Easier module additions * Production page * Black Rise
Its not directly compatible with 2.x. I suggest using a fresh install then importing your fittings using the fit import/export. I do not expect to have a need to change the database again, but it could happen. The outpost are not in yet.
If you find any bugs, post them in this thread. I would also like hear about any features, fixes, mods, templates, etc. Please contact me if you have any of those.

Originally by: ShadowMaster Every time I try and add structures or import them I get this error; "That doesnt work; Duplicate entry '28' for key 1"
The entry number has been going up every time I try.
This is a bug with Adodb, I've updated the download with this fixed. I've also provided a fix in a little bug fix download.
Originally by: ShadowMaster Ok, so I decided to just put my old database into the new tracker and see how it goes. It shows my pos and everything, and when I click view I see the button for export but is there a way to export all of my POS at once instead of one at a time? Also when i press the export button what do I do with the page it gives me?
It was planned, but never happened and I dont see it ever happening for 2.1.x. Maybe for 3+.
Originally by: ShadowMaster How do you use the fitexporter.xml.php file? Will it work if I have my old POS-Tracker on a different database? It currently requires the use of the recent POS-Tracker, so i can not just drop it in with the old one and run it.
The version for 2.1.0 is in the bugfix patch as well. You should be able to just drop it into your old installation, view pos, and export the fitting. Save the xml it generates to you local computer. Then Click the import button on your new installation.
Originally by: Halada Importing towers with API now works
Cannot add structure, I get same error as above poster
Thanks for confirming.

Sov still shows hostile even when logged in as my own corp/alliance (Level 4 admin) Production page is empty.. (? Possible because I have no structures setup)
Adding A Silo results in that wont work - duplicate key message
For the Sov showing hostile, I need more information. Evemail me ingame and ill respond with how to get what I need.
The Production page shows what silos, reactors, and harvesters are producing. If you have none setup, they wont be producing anything
For the Adding structures bug, see above post for fix.

Originally by: ShadowMaster yes, and I am 100% sure because it asked me to overwrite.
That is odd, it fixed it on mine, I will look around some more tomorrow and see if anything else could be causing issues. If you want, you can try the older adodb in the beta 1 download.
Originally by: ShadowMaster I do not have to re-install the entire DB do I? This was just a patch to add to my current 3b2 instillation?
No, you shouldn't have to re-install the database. Although if thats something you want to try, go for it. I'd suggest trying the adodb files from beta 1 first to see if that works for you.

Originally by: John Xei Tried to import a MyPOS setup but got this
Any idea?
Thats normal, if you have the fix for the genID() applied, it should import your structures. I'll make it look better, but MyPOS just stores the itemIDs and not the names so I have to do a look up on each one to make it look the same way the POS-Tracker fitting import, which currently gives you some output thats really for testing.
Originally by: DeTox MinRohim Edited by: DeTox MinRohim on 04/08/2008 20:29:04 The "Duplicate entry..." thing is an old bug of adodb that was fixed in my test svn but it got wiped by updating to the latest adodb class.
John, see line 31 and 206 for the GenID fix here
Also for John, please contact me at eve [] onewayweb.com I don't have your email on this laptop but I have a few days of connection in front of me. The sound of the see is deafening though
Ah, thats why, I didn't check the first part to see if that was causing issues. I'll send you an email.

Most of those you just point it at the file you want to run, which would be one of the two .sh files, and tell it how often. Make sure you edit them first. I would run the sov and alliance ones daily and the pos every 6 hours. Any more than that and your wasting bandwidth.

Haven't bothered to track the whole output :(. But it would be very nice to be able to sort the table by any (or most of) the columns.
In order to disable the sort by fuel remaining, comment out line 112 in track.php
//array_multisort($sortAarr, SORT_ASC, $rows);

I am making crystalline carbonide and it seems not to work right. Two silo hold the simple materials (Carbon Polymers and Crystallite Alloy) then the complex reactor and the silo for the complex material which is the output from the reactor ( Crystalline carbonide). So now i wonder whats considered input/output silo? And how to they need to be connected and whats the "link to" thing doing? I ask cause on API import some silos don't get imported (both simple ones and both my complex reaction POS's) and the other ones with the advanced material show me wrong figures... the silos on the moon mining and simple reaction POS's seem to be fine...
Input means its emptying, output means its filling. The link to is for when you are stacking two silos. You would add the silo number from the previous silo. The API does not include structures so there is no way to import them with the API.

Originally by: Mike'P Hi John,
Interesting looking tool, still feeling my way with it.
On my install for PHP 5.0.4, I had to make this change to get API character lookup to work:-
Line 3576 in includes/class.pos.php
if ($character === FALSE)
rather than
if (!$character).....
PHP is not as strongly typed as I would prefer, this behaviour might be one of those things that has changed between versions or something in php.ini that is just too tedious to Google out.
In general, if something might be FALSE, but it might be something else as well, the triple-equals test is a better bet.
Hope that helps someone else...
double equals would have worked, and probably even better as tripple adds another check to see if they are the same type.
you may run into additional problems with that version of php. I am rather sure there is something that needs 5.1.2

It doesn't actually give you any fuel reduction bonus over any other sov level, which was throwing off numbers for some of my POSes.
temporary fix for those who have a POS in a const. sov place:
Quote: /includes/class.pos.php line 1437 if($row['constellationSovereignty'] > 0) { - return array('sovereigntyLevel' => 5, 'allianceID' => $row['allianceID']); + return array('sovereigntyLevel' => 3, 'allianceID' => $row['allianceID']);
edit: that helps somewhat, to finish off the change, change line 1468 to
Quote: if ($sovereignty==6) {
that's the only other place in the file that seems to effect fuel information, and it fixed all calculations for me, granted it's a quick hack and other code should be modified to do all of that properly
edit2: The calculation for nanotransistors is wrong. It's supposed to output 1500/hr, it's only showing 375/hr though
I think thats actually a bug with eve, according to this article all starbases in a constellation with constellation sov get a 30% bonus.

This tower is purposely offline, and is set for future expansion if needed.
Would it be possible to have a flag to turn OFF e-mail alerts for a specific tower, on the request of the owner?
Currently, the only way would be to removed the assign owner or opt out of all email alerts

It should work fine. Only thing I can think of is either it corrupted when uploading or you click the upgrade check box when your not really upgrading.
Currently on the SVN, outpost are in and working, charters are just about done, just need to figure out how I want to add the option of turning them on and off.

Yea, if your upgrading from a previous version and not installing a fresh copy. you need to run the following sql statements, first one being more important. Replace %prefix% with your table prefix.
[code]ALTER TABLE `%prefix%tower_info` CHANGE `outpost_name` `outpost_id` BIGINT( 20 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0'; DROP TABLE `%prefix%outpost_update_log`;

crontab is a scheduling service for linux and Unix based systems. It needs to be pointed at the .sh scripts included. Check with your host on how to do this.
The mailconfig.php will be specific to your install. It needs an email account to work properly. Basically your giving it the details to that email account.

$mailconfig['site_mail'] ='[email protected]'; Here i put my email addy that is on the same domain as where the tracker is installed. $mailconfig['site_mail_name']='POS-Tracker'; (havent changed this coz dont know what it is) $mailconfig['mail_host'] ='mail.mydomain.com'; (i put my SMTP addy here) $mailconfig['smtp_auth'] =false; $mailconfig['mail_username'] ='MyUsername'; (I think that one i got right) $mailconfig['mail_password'] ='mypw';(I think that one i got right) $mailconfig['mail_port'] =25; $mailconfig['mail_mailer'] ='smtp'; (do i need to change this?) $mailconfig['email_enabled']=true;
Your options for $mailconfig['mail_mailer'] ='smtp'; are "mail", "sendmail", or "smtp". Change $mailconfig['smtp_auth'] =true; since your using a username and password. Other than that, it should be fine.

Change it back to, there is very little reason to edit config.php at all unless there is something in it that you really need to change. I am also wondering what happened to the rest of the config file as that line 28 which is after the comment in the file that says dont change anything else.
$eve_filepath = realpath(cache);

Hi everyone, I'm also having an issue and hope you can be of assistance...
Error:
You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1' at line 25 -- phpMyAdmin SQL Dump -- version 2.9.1.1 -- http://www.phpmyadmin.net -- -- Host: localhost -- Generation Time: Dec 14, 2007 at 12:59 PM -- Server version: 5.0.45 -- PHP Version: 5.2.5 -- -- POS-TRACKER 3.0.0 -- $Id: install_database.sql 134 2008-08-03 21:25:18Z stephenmg $-- -- -------------------------------------------------------- -- -- Table structure for table `pos2_alliance_info` -- CREATE TABLE `pos3_alliance_info` ( `allianceID` int(12) NOT NULL, `name` varchar(255) NOT NULL, `shortName` varchar(255) NOT NULL, `updateTime` int(20) NOT NULL default '0', PRIMARY KEY (`allianceID`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 Problem?
I'm getting this at the second step of the install (install.php?step=2) on a fresh install and fresh database (I'd never had it before). All I can really tell from this is what the error message tells me regarding the location of the problem. Beyond that I'm an SQL newbie and not great with PHP yet. If there is any more info that will help please let me know. Unfortunately if a fix requires any kind of direct access to the MySQL server's config I'm out of luck, I'm using commercial hosting that doesn't give me that kind of access.
Thanks in advance!
-Valt

The reason I mucked around on the config php was the following in the readme text file
Quote: Edit the eveconfig/config.php, eveconfig/dbconfig.php, and eveconfig/mailconfig.php files Upload to your host
when in fact we don't have to?
No, you do not have to change anything in the config file, the readme has been updated in the latest version to reflect this. Its mostly color settings that do not need to be changed. Now the only config file that needs editing, dbconfig.php, will be done by the install script. If you wish to use the mail functions, you will need to edit mailconfig.php as well

If your updating via SVN, there is an upgrade script included in 179 that will change all materialIDs to match the eve database. It is experimental currently, but I would like feed back from those that are willing to try it on test installs. This effects Silos, Harvesters, and reactors. if you wish to try it, at your own risk, go to upgrade.php after you have updated all the files from the SVN and apply "Experimental - 3.0.0.178 Beta 3 Material ID Fix"

Yes, they are. Individual fuel types are never listed on the track page and never will be. It accounts for charters when it is calculating the lowest fuel type. You can see a detailed status of each fuel type on the viewpos page. |

The table does not have that column, but im guessing it should be outpost_name, so i made a change to

Hope this is of help
(Remember my SQL is in strict mode, and host will not change it)
Nope, your tower_info table should have a outpost_id and not a outpost_name column. Did you run the update script or install a fresh copy? |

Originally by: Valtrinor I'm now working with beta 3. I'm no longer getting the charset error, and everything seemed to be going well. Then I noticed the install script was stalling at "Creating/Updating tables" and not progressing or throwing errors. I let it sit for 12 hours to see if it was just going slowly and then used phpMyAdmin to check and see if it was putting anything into the database as it should be and it isn't. The database is still completely empty. It has not thrown any database connection errors but it seems to be failing to create tables and inject the data properly. This morning, for the sake of experimentation and troubleshooting I attempted to use the phpMyAdmin query window's Import Files page to import install_database.sql and received the following error (which may be unrelated to POS Tracker, but I want to provide anything that might help):
Before you try importing with phpmyadmin, run a search and replace to replace all the %prefix% with what ever prefix you set in the dbconfig.php file. As far as the actual cause of your issue, im not sure, although I wonder if your bumping into the maximum script execution time limit.

Fixing that wont make then suddenly not require charters, towers you have already added you either need to add them again or go into the database using phpmyadmin or something simular and set the field called charters_needed to 0. I'll look at writing a sql statement that will correct them all.

Does not work
your host is running an apache mod called mod_security. One of its purposes is to detect sql injection attacks. I am not sure why the "test" function would trigger it, but it doesn't seem to like something. Your host provider may have more information on exactly what is causing the issue.
You should be able to override the module with a .htaccess file with the following:
<IfModule mod_security.c> SecFilterEngine Off SecFilterScanPOST Off </IfModule>
It will probably work fine after you have it installed.

Originally by: bomerI So I tried to install the app on another server, this time one that doesnt report any errors / notices. It appears that the install went through as it proceeded through the steps as I figure it should. My problem now is that I cant log in. Step 2 asks for an email address and password for the admin account. When the rest of the install is done, I figure I can log in with the email address, but it asks for a char name. I figure I need to register the char name, and proceed to the register page using the IGB and register with the same email address and password. When I attempt to log in, it is just going back to the login page as if I entered the password wrong. According to the DB, the user was created.
The first account you created during install is called Admin. On the second account and any other account you create, you will need to grant access in the admin panel.

POS-Tracker 3.0.0 Beta 4 released. This is mostly bug fixes and miner improvements.
Two important notes about upgrading: config.php has changed so if you have made any changes to it you will need to make them to the new version. There are no database changes in beta 3 to beta 4 so using upgrade.php is not needed.

Tho i seem have to have some problems. I`m trying to figure out the access levels. Are there any plans, for e.g. having the levels corpbased ?
Its not really meant for multiple corporations.
level 0 = no access level 1 = can veiw pos level 2 = view, edit level 3 = view, edit, delete level 4 = admin level 5 = super admin
Some of this may need tweaking. Highly trusted is intended to allow you to hide some pos from members that do not have that set. Right now, I am not sure if Ill add it back in or remove it.

Also, i dunno if this is a bug or a feature: When you dont have a high acces level (like4) on some pages you seem to be brought back to the loginscreen, on others it tells you you have no access and on some you get a white page with a message telling you you are a worm or something. Is this intended, and just because of timeconstraints while programmingit, or did i stumble upon a bug ?
Its intended, may change to dump back to a different page if you dont have the proper access, such as index.

ALso, in table structure_static there is under id 20175 a "Medium Reactor Array" listed. This is ingame called "Simple Reactor Array"
this SQl statement should fix it: UPDATE `[add Database name in brackets, then remove brackets]`.`pos3_structure_static` SET `name` = 'Simple Reactor Array' WHERE `pos3_structure_static`.`id` =20175 LIMIT 1 ;
Thats what they use to be called.

Also, it appears that the fueltypes in Outpost track are not sorted A-Z - this actually makes mass-editing of outpost tracks quite tideous and "error-rich", as Eve lists them A-z in normal as in remote view.
Its because thats how they are when you look at pos manage screen. I see your point though and may edit the template to be alphabetically.

No, thats just for caching the templates, which are cached as php, so no dynamic stuff is cached. I do not use any database caching so that shouldn't be a problem. On the above example, what type of tower is that? I suspect that its not using the correct table for the calculations. Also, how far off are these from the actual tower?

Also a note on the Tracking page. Perhaps add a Corp Column? So that you can see pos for corps in the alliance.
Much of the code is still in the tracker, but its basically disabled. I'll see about enabling it.
Originally by: Space Hog Is anyone else noticing weird fuel calculations for pos that have soverignty.
Does it say sov friendly when you go to viewpos?
If the ability to assign a corp hanger for fuel storage would be there it would be great. I think its fair to say that many people do that.
On the fuel calculations yes it shows friendly SOV. Sovereignty: Yes Sovereignty Status: Friendly Sovereignty Level: 3
Fuel Required Available Online Enriched Uranium 3 591 6d 2h Oxygen 19 3743 6d 4h Mechanical Parts 4 788 6d 12h Coolant 6 1182 6d 2h Robotics 1 197 8d 5h Isotopes 338 66587 6d 2h Liquid Ozone 109(113) 21885 6d 5h Heavy Water 105(113) 20896 6d 5h Strontium Calthrates 300 16666 1d 17h
If you look at the above it shows for instance Oxygen 3743 QTY req per hr 19 so doing the math that should have a life of 8.2 days but it shows 6 days 4hr.
I noticed that POS I have where we do not have SOV show correct.
Ok, found the cuase. I had a typo.
Find (most likely line 1701):
$allainceID = $row['allianceid']; Replace with:
$allianceID = $row['allianceid'];

Well there isn't any admin user or anything in the tables. Just empty tables. I just run the sql file that come with install package.
Just register ingame and then open up your database in phpmyadmin and edit the record in the user table to have access 5. My guess the previous problem was the script was timing out.

Check with your host on instructions on exactly how to setup a crontab. For pos api point it to poscron.sh. For sovereignty and alliance list, point it to postrackercron.sh. Make sure you edit both of them with the full absolute path. poscron.sh should run every 6 hours and postrackercron.sh should run once a day. Also, you'll have problems with mysql version 4.x. Your version is at least 2 years old and is missing key features as well as secruity updates. If your paying someone for hosting, switch host. If your own hosting provider, its time to upgrade.

sorry the poscron.sh and postrackercron.sh dont work. there are still other cron files.
Those two files run all the other cron files, if you edited them correctly, they need absolute path to the files that they ask for. the path should start with / Other than that, I really can't give you any more help as every hosting provider has a different method of actually setting the crontab through there web interface.

unless you want to recode all the functions that use it. Hash is loaded as extention and is part of php. If you do not have it, it means it was disabled, I would ask your hosting provider. It would be a matter of editing the php.ini file.

in the function getPasswordHash($salt, $password ) replace: "return (hash('md5', $salt.$password ) );" with: "return (md5( $salt.$password ) );"
depending what hash module you have. If you have mhash, than it should be md5() function. If you have the normal hash than its the other function.
the hash function is faster, thats why I used it and everyone should have it since its part of php, but sounds like it was disabled on your system

Some of it will be in Beta 5. Right now, the code to assign a tower to a Fuel Tech and Backup Fuel Tech is on SVN. Also added both Fuel Tech and Backup to the view pos page. On the track page, it will highlight pos if your the fuel tech, i will look at adding backup as well. As far as adding a field to the track page on who is the Fuel tech, I would rather not clutter up that page any more than it already is.

Cool Cool, I am sure there is alot involved. I will patiently wait. Its a great tool.
In the SVN, i've added hangars to the view page. It does not currently calculate how long the fuel will last. I still need to add a method to change the fuel levels on the edit page.

Check your php.ini file for the following:
[php.ini] ; The separator used in PHP generated URLs to separate arguments. ; Default is "&". arg_separator.output = "&"
My guess is it has & instead of &. You can fix this by changing the php.ini file.

I don't have shell access I believe (host uses Plesk) but if I understand correctly you just want a copy of phpinfo.php file? If so, I'll send that via evemail later tonight.

Yes, for the number per page, check your config.php file in your /eveconfig directory. You need to edit the following line:
$page_limit = 15; #Sets the number of towers to display on tracking page
As for the sort order, the default is status, but it was broken, should be fixed now in SVN version.

hmm ok the syntax error are gone, but the calculation off the amount with the change in line 295 a still wrong.. you only change this one line and it works ?
I think it probably should be, but not sure, i dont use that page.
$silo[$x]['material_amount'] = ($silo[$x]['rate_vol']*$silo[$x]['hoursago'])+$silo[$x]['material_amount'];
Rate and Rate Volume are two different values.

Using the api or manually? How many towers? There really is no reason it should keep going up unless you reach an insane amount (as in 10 digists). The API has been buggy lately, i'm going to add some debug stuff and xml caching so I get a better idea of why random tower fuel levels are going to zero.

The downside I see is that you have made this outpost track to calculate the 'Online' time from when the outpost was last updated. As if my towers are using the fuel in the outpost, and not their own fuel.
My situation, which I believe alot of us have, is that I have a bunch of towers that I need to fuel. I take fuel from the outpost and fuel the towers. After all towers are fueled I type in the new fuel levels that are left in the outpost so I easily can see what we are low on, and how long we will last on it next time I fuel.
I dont really understand why the outpost track calculates fuel levels from when it was last updated.
This is now fixed in the svn or at least it should be.

New versions are always better I know, but is there anywhere I can perhaps get an older version of this amazing software to try to install?
EDIT: Found beta3 on your download page, will try that. EDIT2: Same result
Did you expect a different answer?
Originally by: Gaurina Is anyone using this application running mySQL on a different port?
My mySQL server runs on port 3307 and if I use localhost the hostname I have to put is "localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock"
Looking a bit into the code of the project it seems that install.js puts all the parameters into a query string and I'm just wondering if the : and / are messing things up.
It shouldn't matter. Are any tables created?

My issues: 1) Admin account doesn't get created on install. 2) Adding a tower returns the error "No ID Defined" 3) Putting my API info in returns this error "Error: String could not be parsed as XML"
Anyone got a link to the old 2.10 version? I just want a version that works, I dont care if its the beta
1) Did you use the installer? 2 & 3, the api is down atm so thats not going to work
Yep I used the installer. Typed in the boxes and no admin acount was created. All the other tables seem to be populated. Do I have the run the install from the ingame browser? (I did it in firefox). Now the API is back up, whenever I put my api key in (even the full access one) it sits there fore a minute and gets a blank page on "admin.php?action=getcharacters" . The eve API log says that it accessed "/account/Characters.xml.aspx"
Anyways I still get the "No ID Definded" error when I go to add a tower. Any ideas?
I've never had any of those problems so I have no idea where to begin. "No ID Defined" isn't an error that I generate.

The amount of LO and HW per hour on the Outpost Track still shows way off. 15 million LO and 11k HW for 6 towers. LO should be 397 per hour, and the "online" timer shows 2D 23H left. When I run the numbers myself that online timer burns LO at a rate of 3430 per hour. Same goes with HW. The other numbers are perfect.
For Outposts that are not tracking any towers at all everything shows as 0, except for LO and HW where this field is blank.
This is now fixed as well in SVN, it was displaying the pg and cpu and not the heavy water and ozone.

I finally got the Admin account to be created.
Here are the errors I got: Field 'alliance_id' doesn't have a default value Field 'away' doesn't have a default value Field 'highly_trusted' doesn't have a default value
After manually going into the database I set the defaults to 0 for each and the admin account was created.
Running windows or mysql set to strict mode? ill fix those when i add the apoc data, but normally doesn't cause a problem

Then I put my API key in and the page sat there for a min then stopped on a white page with the command "install.php?action=getcharacters" Any ideas?
no, not really, never had a problem with that page. look for a file probably called error_log and see if that gives any clues.
Originally by: Elana Vaho The numbers have changed, but they are still wrong. Liquid Ozone .|. 3385(411) .|. 243578 .|. 2d 23h Heavy Water .|. 1374(411) .|. 609748 .|. 18d 11h
The numbers seems to be the same as the "Online" timer now, but they are not the 397 LO and 193 HW as they should be when I add them by hand.
EDIT: The online timer for oxy isotopes seems missing too. It shows the right topes required per hour put 0h online time even when I have added topes.
The number in () correct? The actual number should be total current pg / total posible pg and then multiply that by total posible required ozone. What types of towers and how many are making up your numbers?

No, you just need to download a new class.pos.php from the svn and replace your copy in /includes. You can get the latest from [Here]. If you want to see every update, download a SVN client, I use tortoisesv which integrates into the windows shell. Be aware that I occasionally break the copy in SVN, test it on a test version before updating your real copy.

Your php is configured to report every little thing to you, no reason to have that on unless your developing. Add the following to the top of your install.php to turn it off for the install script, rest of the program it gets it from dbfunctions.php

updated the download package so its now current with the svn.
For those who are having trouble with the api adding towers, add a directory in /cache and call it api. Make sure this directory is writable (chmod 770). In /eveconfig/config.php, edit line 33 so it looks like this:
//Uncomment following line to turn on file XML caching, for debug purposes only, needs a writable directory at /cache/api (chmod 770) define('POS_CACHE_XML', 'TRUE');
You should see some xml files in /cache/api they should match your starbaseList api. This comfirms that the tracker is getting the api files correctly and that they are formated correctly.

What I think causes this issue is the php script times out. You can try editing your php.ini file and increasing the time allowed and see if that fixes it.
max_execution_time = 60 max_input_time = 120

No, thats unrelated and for adding an api key to the tracker. You can also do it in the admin panel as well as the rest of the steps. I am not sure why you would get a white screen though other then incorrect api key or something like that.

Admin user is called "Admin" with the password you entered.
Originally by: John Blackthorn Ok.. I figured out I had downloaded a just 3.0 version and then applied the beta 3. re-reading yet again I see beta 6 is out. So I pulled that and I can't get anywhere with it.
You do the install.php it says enter the databaes table database user/pass etc etc. I type that in hit the check button says ok, Hit the write button says ok. Hit create tables, and that is it. I switch over to the server and see that the tables have been written. I have even gone through and pretty much really screwed over the permissions and set everyone has full access. Bad I know but damit I wanted to see if something would work. But it doesn't.
<-- Frustrated and pulling hair out. I don't blame the code I know there something just not set right but for the life if me I don't know what. Windows Server 2000, latest php, latest mysql. (I Upgraded to latest today though I really wasn't that far back on my versions).
In install, did it say curl was available? Also, you should be using 3.0 beta 6, if you open up includes/class.pos.php line 29 should say:
* @version SVN: $Id: class.pos.php 238 2009-04-09 06:04:10Z stephenmg $ If its 234 or higher thats fine, just download the newest version I posted a few post back. If its lower then 235 or your line 29 doesn't look like that, your running an older version and need to update.

Are all the towers showing up in the xml file? You should be able to just count <row> elements and compare that with the number of towers you actually have.

If i'm reading it correctly, try asking your host where the CLI version of php is. If its your own box, you may have to look around for it. If that doesn't work, try making sure the files work in a web browser, page will probably be blank.
Originally by: Yoinks Okay I got everything working with the newest version. API key loaded. Turned out I had a fresh setup trying to get the database install to work and forgot to enable curl!
Anyways when i try to update pos from API it says "Error Code: 200::Current security level not high enough.. User ID: Character ID" Explain pls!!
It means one of two things, Your using a limited api key instead of a full or the key does not belong to a ceo or director. If the key was generated prior to the character becoming a director or ceo it may need to be regenerated.

That is actually a problem with your mysql server, for some reason the connection to it is lost. MySQL information
Ok Thx John first for answer. my webhoster has as MySQL Flag max_allowed_packet=4MB :( and he dosn't want change this. he mean i should splitt the numbers of querys :-(
some way to change this in postracker ?

That has nothing to do with the number of queries but the size of the query. I would need more information to figure out how to work around it if even posible. It is actually rather low, normally you will see at least 16m and up to 1 gig is allowed after mysql 4.

I am doing it using Firefox and Epiphany.
Is everything else working? are you using the api to update? I am not sure why you would only have issues with that unless you have some weird configuration on your host.

Hmm maybe I have found the problem. When I hit update POS from API the page seems to load for ages. Same for the cron_updatepos.php. Then the last update time doesn't change and still hangs to the old value.
However, update sov and alliance works.
I have no idea. I lack any information that would hint at the cause of this issue.
Originally by: Mark Jones I changed the line 2001 in class.pos.php to

It was assuming all poses in sov 3 also had constelation sov.
I don't know if someone already found this.
if ($sovereignty>=4) { is actually correct, which is what I show in the svn atm and should have been included in the last release.

Anyone find a away or reason why this doesn't install ? Is there some settings that we could have wrong ?
It seems that there is some setting that is being set on the server side that doesn't like the install script. Currently, if i had to guess, I would check to see if safemode is on. Are any mysql error logs being generated? Are your apache logs the same as above? The more detailed information I get, the better I am going to be able to figure out whats wrong. |

I have an idea on what's causing the install script to fail. I am wondering if those that are having trouble have register_globals on. Easy way to check is make this simple script
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
I am planning on redoing a lot of the back end code to make things a little cleaner. Eventual goal would be to change the template engine from Smarty to Dwoo. I am also wondering how many people actually use the silo tracking bit. I would like to remove it. The overall goal would be to make sure POS-Tracker is ready for php 5.3. |

Good. Im guessing no other issues? Unless another app your running wants register_globals on, I suggest leaving them off. As of php 5.3, they will be depreciated and removed in php 6.0. |

Originally by: Runnah Edited by: Runnah on 29/06/2009 14:56:49 First, thanks for such an awesome tool! Keep up the good work. Currently on v3.0 RC1.
Install went like a dream. No issues there. Setup was easy and it is properly pulling info via the API. I just have one or two issues at the moment...
1) After logging in, I click Fuel Bill. At this point the next screen comes up with correct values but zeros for both Ozone and Heavy Water. No error is displayed. This is both before and after I apply any filters. The totals at the bottom of the page also show zero for L-Ozone and H-Water
2) Under Fuel Calculator, if I pick a POS, fill in days and hours desired, put in a ship capacity (usually used 25000) and click the Refill POS button, shows a correct Total Required for Liquid Ozone and Heavy Water, but the You Need and Volume (m3) columns list zero for both.
3) If I choose Track, then click the Edit button next to one of my towers, it lists as optimum for both Liquid Ozone and Heavy Water as zero.
4) If I choose Fuel Bill and then choose a specific region from the drop down and click Filter (leaving all other filters at default) I get the following error:
Unknown column 'regionName' in 'field list'SELECT pos_id, typeID, evetowerID, outpost_id, corp, allianceid, pos_size, pos_race, isotope, oxygen, mechanical_parts, coolant, robotics, uranium, ozone, heavy_water, charters, strontium, towerName, systemID, charters_needed, status, owner_id, secondary_owner_id, pos_status, pos_comment, secret_pos, moonID, regionID, regionName FROM pos3_tower_info, pos3_mapsolarsystems WHERE pos3_tower_info.systemID = pos3_mapsolarsystems.solarSystemID AND pos3_mapsolarsystems.regionID = '10000012'
I apologize if these issues have already been addressed. I read back to the post for RC1 and did not see them listed. Again, thanks for all the hard work and effort and I look foreword to the next release!
I am guessing that you have not added your tower fits. Without modules, your tower would not use heavy water and liquid ozone, so its actually calculating it correctly. FYI, some numbers may be a tad off due to rounding.

I don't know if someone already found this.
I'm sorry to resurrect this dead item, but there appears to be a bug in POSTracker RC1 with respect to ConSov. Ye olde' EVEWiki states that all of the POSes in a ConSov constellation get the 30% fuel consumption bonus, but POSTracker is only assigning that bonus through the use of sovereignty_constellation_static to POSes in a Sov 4 system. If what the wiki says is true, and at first glance it appears to be the case in spite of EVE's own display bugs, then isn't POSTracker producing the wrong fuel consumption values for POSes in a ConSov constellation but not in a Sov 4?
It seems to me that the following:
Quote: if ($sovereignty>=4) { $db = TBL_PREFIX.'sovereignty_constellation_static'; } else { $db = TBL_PREFIX.'sovereignty_static'; }
Should be replaced with something like this:
Quote: if ($row['constellationSovereignty']) { $db = TBL_PREFIX.'sovereignty_constellation_static'; } else { $db = TBL_PREFIX.'sovereignty_static'; }
The Sov 4 check is replaced with a ConSov check, since the bonus goes to all of the POSes in the ConSov constellation. Sov 4 itself should have no bearing on fuel consumption.
Am I correct in my assumptions, or am I entirely off-base here?
I know the documentation says it should, but seems in eve it doesn't. At least I haven't seen that it does. The code use to reflect what you came up with.

Can you check your mysql error logs? normally in /var/log/mysql.err or something like that. You can also try adding them manually with phpmyadmin and seeing if it throws any errors. Replace %prefix% with your prefix. The sql is in install_database.sql. then you should be able to go to install.php?step=2

Just don't overwrite your eveconfig/ directory. To upgrade the database, just point your browser to upgrade.php, the last 2 entries are for this upgrade. Backup your database first, especially for the last one if you want to use it.

I'll see how hard it is to do. I'm afraid the only way to do it without it looking odd is to change the xml structure which would be bad if anyone has a program that imports from it. I currently do not know of any, but I'd hate to mess with an app that does. Can I ask why you need this, may be able to come up with some options?

Only way to reset a password is to copy the password using software such as phpmyadmin. No way to recover it as its stored in a one way hash. You set the admin password during install.

You have to grant access using the admin account or another account that has enough access. You could also use something such as phpmyadmin to set it if you know what your doing.

I'm not aware of any changes to POS in dominion. If there are any, i'll look at getting pos-tracker updated.

Replacing the file class.pos.php with this one [ HERE ] (Google code project link) should give you back Sov 1. Wich is basically the max sov people will get anyway for now.
EDIT: mm... now I just noticed that I gave sov but without taking into consideration if it's friendly or hostile sov. Oh well, still work for most of us who has POS in 0.0.
Got a lot of other work to do but will check where John was the last time (haven't looked at that code for awhile) and see what I can do.
I made a similar fix on my copy of RC2, and it works fine. If the hostiles have sov, it still properly calculates that you don't get a fuel bonus.
So sov still effects pos fuel?

New release: POS-Tracker 3.0.0.297 RC 4 Patch from RC 3: POS-Tracker 3.0.0.297 RC 4 Patch
Changes:
- Dominion Sovereignty
- Manual CPU and powergrid - If you edit a tower that has no modules on it (in pos-tracker), you can change the cpu and powergird for a tower. Once you add a module to the tower it will calculate the cpu and powergrid based off modules like normal.
- API based registration - no longer depends on the ingame browser.
- Install script checks for registered_globals being off - having this on is a security risk, its being removed from php, and it breaks things.
- Other Dominion related fixes and changes
If you are having problems with the create tables button hanging, I need error logs from php and mysql. Other useful information would be your max_input_time and max_execution_time. Your host type would also be helpful. I actually prefer someone creates an issue in the issue tracker rather then repeatedly posting in this thread.

POS-Tracker was really meant for a single corp. I suppose you could change the query depending on access and corp, but if the user guessed the id of another corp's tower, there is really no checks to stop them.

If you are having this problem, delete register.php, register.tpl, and clear your cache/templates_c/ folder and copy the new register.php and register.tpl back over. this is happening for me aswell, its an minor issue since the tracker do fetch from the API system but i know some my corp mates wants to update the fuel manually after they have fueled the tower(s).
I looked and do not see anything that will cause this. I also tried it myself and couldn't get it to do it. If someone would like to let me experiment on their tracker that does this, I can try and find a solution.

How did upgrading crash the site? Most of those should be fixed in the svn version, which will probably be released in a week or two.
Even though you said you wouldn't be satisfied with this answer, all you have to do is turn the notices off:
add this line to the top of install.php

From reading up on your POS Manager, my understanding is this is for friendly / alliance POSs and will show reinforcement timers as such.
What I'm seeking, is an application to track hostile reinforment timers, for POSs we are shooting down. Is this something you've considered intergrating into POS Manager ? This would obviously require manual input of data, and couldn't be fetched via API.
// sage.
Actually, you missed the point of POS-Tracker entirely. It is for tracking fuel of starbases for corporations. I probably could do something custom, but you'd have to talk to me to work out a fee for doing so.

Originally by: Gareck Lodius When I add structures in like a single moon miner and silo on a small gallante pos sometimes the moon miner shows up and allows me to configure it for the right mineral but most times all i see is the silo info but in listed structures the miner is there
I have no idea, would need more info.

Getting this error:
Could not look for already existing User;Table 'name_pos.pos3_user' doesn't exist
What to do?
Where do you get that error?
Originally by: Elorie Liorden Dunno if it has been mentioned before but the db lacks the "Hyasyoda Mobile Laboratory" Module.

Originally by: source killer I get a error on the mails i get:

bug nr.2: when linking silos it does not update the amount correctly. IF u put 20km3 in the firs silo it is not reg when pressed update amount. if u link the other way(silo 10 "link to:" 11) it will not update at all.
Try putting the 20k m3 in the other silo?

It can't. The silo tracking functionality of pos-tracker is meant to be a simple tool to track basic production setups.

A textbox on UI side (in editpos) and a TEXT field in database... Just so we can enter some quick notes into it, which are shown in the POS track list as a comment under tower name...
thanks
I think most just use the tower name for stuff like that. Maybe something like that will be in the next major version.

I get the following error after attempting to clean install POS3rc5. I've created a new DB for the install and added a user/pw to the db. I applied full privileges to the user. Anyone know what it is that I missed?
Database Failure!
Its having a problem connecting. Check your database information again.

everythings working can login on my admin account add a tower manually
but when i go to register i with my api id and password i get this error
Error Code: 521::Invalid username and/or password passed to UserData.LoginWebUser(). also get this code when i try and register my api from the register page and not the admin page API ERROR or No Character on provided API Information!
any help would be great been working on this for 2 days now
Crazie
That means the api info isn't being entered in correctly. xampp's default configuration also sometimes causes issues like that.

Originally by: z3ph sov friendly did not work in the beginning i had to adjust viewpos.php to get it to work.
What did you have to do to it?
Originally by: z3ph
for the production page it would be really helpful having a sorting option for remaining time, as some people have alot of silos therefore having something like a "critical time" status with colors as there is for the pos tracking would be really nice.
Maybe in a later version. Not really looking to add any new features until my next major version.
Originally by: z3ph
on the production view some people link 2 silos to each other that does work in the tracker but it would be more cool if it would show as one for the time left for the fillup.
There is a fix in the issue tracker, I haven't had a chance to check it though
Originally by: z3ph
also a button when viewing a specific pos to "update fuel over api" would be nice and for the fuel calculator acctually showing which isotopes are needed would be really cool aswell as if you have a lot of POS you cant remember out of the head which one needs which fueltype :)
I've never really had that issue with remember fuel types, but we've never ran more then one or two types (normally caldari and amarr). As for the button, there is no point if your using cron as it should keep it updated.

It wont be, the Silo Tracking is only for moon mining reactions.
Originally by: Johnathan Walker Edited by: Johnathan Walker on 25/05/2010 14:52:02 FYI: POS Tracker 3.0 RC5 does not appear to be compatible with PHP 5.2.13
Quote: Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "login.tpl" in /home/masqsor1/public_html/unknown-heroes/pos/includes/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1088
This shows up after the host upgraded their php version, and a full nuke of directories + databases does not correct the issue.
Upgraders beware
normally that is a permissions issue. Basically the web server doesn't have permission to read the template directory. Nothing in 5.2.13 that should effect pos-tracker.
